Why this matters for the Roadhouse
Everything here is built to do one thing: bring more people to the courtyard at 215 Ute Street, more often.
Every trailer visit is a Roadhouse visit
People who come for a smash burger walk past the bar, the games and the music. More reasons to come back to the trailer means more people inside the Roadhouse.
Window sales still run through your Clover
Nothing changes at the register. Food sold at the window goes through the Roadhouse’s Clover exactly as it does today, so more visits mean more Clover sales.
Regulars on a schedule
The SMASH card rewards the 10th visit, members save 10% every time, and Dinner Night gives families a set night to come by. Those are reasons to come back weekly instead of once in a while.
The Roadhouse name everywhere
“Chef Joe at Roadhouse” is on the site, the Google listing, every post and every email, with directions to the courtyard. Football Sundays and concerts at the Roadhouse get posted too.
What’s live
These are today’s live pages on a phone. Swipe across. Every one is taking real customers now.

Order ahead
Pickup or a delivery request, a pickup time, and the order goes straight to my order inbox and the crew screen. In English and Spanish.
The SMASH card
1 smash for every order of $10 or more (one a day), 10 smashes = a free Single Smash Meal, and cards start with 2. Members get double. No app and no paper card: customers just say their phone number.
Memberships
Smash Club ($6 a month or $60 a year): 10% off, double smashes, 5% off catering, the Dinner Night menu a day early. Family Table ($12 or $120): all of that, free delivery within 12 miles ($25 minimum, 4 a month), 10% off catering, Dinner Night order held.
Dinner Night
A weekly family dinner menu, ordered ahead with limits per dish and pickup times. Pastas and Mexican favorites from my catering kitchen are on the way.
Crew app and owner console
The crew taps +1 smash by phone number and redeems free meals. My console shows who needs attention today, every customer’s history, members and monthly totals, emails and Dinner Night.
Automatic emails
Welcome, “one smash to go”, “your free meal is ready”, a one-time Google review ask, and sign-in links. Only to people who said yes.
Why: most small food spots run on a Facebook page and a paper punch card. This gives Joe’s its own list of regulars, reasons for them to return, and a way to reach them again for free.
Ways to pay
| What | How it’s paid | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Food at the window | The Roadhouse’s Clover, as today | Unchanged. |
| Member 10% off | Clover’s own discount, rung by the crew | The crew app shows the customer is a member. Not on specials or coupons. |
| Free Single Smash Meal (10 smashes) | Comped in Clover | The crew app shows the reward and marks it used. |
| Order ahead, under $75 | Paid at pickup (or on delivery) | Unchanged from today. |
| Order ahead, $75 and up | 50% deposit by a secure payment link | Refundable if cancelled 24 hours or more before pickup. |
| Memberships | Stripe: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link | Billed by Vivere Colorado LLC (Chef Joe), separate from Clover. Members cancel any time online; perks run to the end of the period they paid for. |
Tested live today: a real Family Table membership was bought on the site with a real card. Stripe told the site within seconds and the customer’s card showed the membership. It was then refunded, and cancelled from the member’s own Manage page. Every Stripe message reached the site; none failed.
Forms that work
| Form | What happens when someone sends it | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Order ahead | The order is emailed to orders@chefjoeroadhouse.com and shows on the crew screen. “Email us” only opens once an order is built, so it arrives complete. | Live |
| SMASH card sign-up | Starts the card with 2 smashes; a welcome email if they said yes. | Tested 18 Oct |
| “Email me my card” sign-in | A private sign-in link to their account, from hello@chefjoeroadhouse.com. | Tested 18 Oct |
| Membership checkout | Stripe’s secure checkout; the membership shows on their card in seconds. | Tested with a real payment |
| Manage or cancel a membership | Stripe’s customer page; the change reaches the site by itself. | Tested 18 Oct |
| Dinner Night list and orders | Join the list now; orders open when the first menu is set. | List live |
| Unsubscribe | One click in every email; that person gets no more email. | Built into every email |
Google and search
Google Business Profile
- Verified, as a hamburger restaurant at 215 Ute St
- Order pickup and Order delivery buttons
- 48 customer interactions so far; 5.0 from 1 review
Review asks, the right way
- A one-time “How was Joe’s?” email after a 2nd visit or a free meal
- A review link on every customer’s account and the order confirmation
- A QR code at the window, and the crew asks everyone
- Never paid for with smashes or food: Google’s rules and the FTC’s
Built for search
- Restaurant details search engines read: name, hours, location
- A sitemap with every public page, now including memberships
- Bing and other search engines that support it are told about every change the moment it goes live
Why: reviews and a complete profile decide who shows up first for “burgers near me”. Each new review helps both Joe’s and the Roadhouse’s courtyard get found.
From our own address
Order tickets come from orders@chefjoeroadhouse.com and customer emails from hello@chefjoeroadhouse.com. The domain is verified, which helps them land in inboxes instead of spam.
Only people who said yes
Every yes and no is recorded. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe and our postal address, as the law requires.
Bad addresses handled
If an email bounces or someone marks it as spam, that address stops getting email automatically. Both were tested live today and caught within 2 seconds.
Speed and quality
Measured today with Google Lighthouse on a simulated phone, the same test Google uses. 100 is the top score.
| Page | Speed | Accessibility | Best practices | Search |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Home | 97 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
| Order ahead | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
| SMASH card | 99 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
| Memberships | 99 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
| Dinner Night | 99 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
What we fixed today: the first test found the SMASH card and membership pages shifting as they loaded (speed 78 and 80), and the membership page still hidden from Google from before launch (search 69). Both were fixed and re-tested the same morning.
How customers and their data are protected
Card details never touch our site
Memberships are paid on Stripe’s own checkout. We never see or store a card number.
No passwords to steal
Customers sign in with a private emailed link. The crew and owner screens need PINs that are checked on the server, with limits on wrong guesses.
Privacy in plain language
The privacy page (English and Spanish) explains what we keep and why. Anyone can stop emails or ask to be deleted.
Delta County: who’s around us
Forecasts: the full model of memberships, SMASH cards and growth, with sliders, is at joes-rewards-report.pages.dev. It starts from real numbers and says plainly what is a projection.
What I’d like us to agree on
- Member discounts and free meals in Clover. Members get Clover’s 10% discount and the 10th-visit free meal is comped. Are you OK with that, and is there a way you’d like them rung so they show clearly in your Clover reports?
- The window sign and a tablet. A spot for the SMASH card sign at the window, and Wi-Fi for one tablet that runs the crew app.
- Sharing each other’s posts. When the Roadhouse posts a concert or a game, I’ll share it; sharing Joe’s reels and Dinner Night posts helps both of us.
- Which night for Dinner Night. A night that works for the Roadhouse’s schedule and staffing.
- A review QR at the bar. The same “how was it?” ask, for guests who ate from the trailer inside.

Tech terms decoded
- Stripe
- The payment company that handles membership cards and Apple Pay. It sends the money to the bank and handles receipts and cancels.
- Webhook
- Stripe automatically telling our site “this person just joined or cancelled”, so their card updates by itself.
- Lighthouse
- Google’s free test of how fast, accessible and search-friendly a page is, scored out of 100.
- Layout shift
- When a page jumps around while loading. Google scores it; we fixed ours today.
- Collab post
- An Instagram post that appears on two accounts at once, here Mimi’s and Chef Joe’s.
- Bounce
- An email that can’t be delivered. We stop sending to that address automatically.
- Carrier registration
- The sign-up phone carriers require before a business can send marketing texts (often called A2P 10DLC).
Social media and the launch campaign
Joe’s posts go out from Mimi’s established Instagram with Chef Joe as a Collab, and on both the Chef Joe and Mimi’s Facebook Pages, so they reach an audience from day one.
Scheduled launch posts (Mountain time)
Why: nationally, 71% of rural adults use Facebook and 57% check it daily; Instagram is second at 37% (Pew). Delta County is rural and older (median age 48.1), so Facebook carries the most reach here. Every reel has its own licensed music and every post ends with how to order. The giveaway and the Broncos game-day posts are scheduled alongside these.
